Abstract
Technological developments have undoubtedly led to new forms of unknown crime before, carried on computers, particularly cybercrimes. The big world we once knew has become more of a small village; therefore, crimes penetrated geographical boundaries. Criminals seized the opportunity and used the breaches in technology. As such, cybercrimes have become different from traditional crimes, particularly in as much as prowess of offenders is concerned. Rapid growth, the desire to make wealth, the many opportunities for offence, and the increase of organized crimes are factors that destined cybercrimes to widespread and increase the number of victims, especially with luck of control and legislative endeavors. Moreover, these factors threaten the safety of data and well-being of victims, which, consequently, require immediate attention of International Criminal Police Organization known as Interpol. The latter aims at connecting the police of various countries together so as to combat crimes. It is one of the most recognized organizations in the world whose highest aim lies in international cooperation to fight cybercrimes that are developing quickly and cybercriminals use the latest developments in technology to render the task of capturing them difficult. Interpol has the ability to contribute using the staff and equipment at their disposal.
