Sustainable Tourism Strategic Planning In Archaeological And Heritage Sites

Abstract

This study aims to demonstrate the importance of awareness-raising to preserve heritage and archaeological sites as a tourist attraction. Therefore, documenting heritage and archaeological sites is a sustainable planning that ensures benefiting in developing the Jordanian tourism sector (Bazazo, 2021). Also, this study combines theory and practice, which includes a theoretical framework that deals with the concepts of heritage (Alhroot, 2021). Moreover, this study focuses on tangible heritage. The study concluded that the management of heritage and archaeological areas is of great importance in the development of the Jordanian tourism sector.
