Abstract

Today's world is grappling with a unique set of challenges - a growing global population, climate change, depleting natural resources, and a palpable urgency to enhance food security. ICT tools, in this context, present a potential solution, offering ways to produce more with less and ensure that produce reaches from farm to fork efficiently. By offering solutions that address challenges such as unpredictable weather patterns, pest infestations, and market fluctuations, ICT ensures that the agricultural sector remains resilient and responsive. Moreover, with the increasing globalization of food markets, farmers are no longer just competing locally; they are now part of a global supply chain. ICT tools provide them with the knowledge and resources to remain competitive, meet quality standards, and access new markets.
