Abstract

Interest in tourism as an incentive for sustainable development is considered a significant economic requirement to enhance investment in natural, environmental and cultural tourist sites. Also, awareness of the significance of tourism development and management in efficient manner is considered one of the world tourism organization's objectives. As well as tourism and economic experts confess the necessity of tourism countries in enjoying a high degree of security and political stability, and this is done by creating the political and economic environment and setting laws that organize the tourism activity. Hence, tourism policies work to push the state towards realizing rational and sustainable tourism development in which the individual is the primary doer and basic beneficiary. Where the decision maker in the state must take into consideration the process of preparing the necessary political and security ground for the sake of advancing the tourism sector, conciling between the different political and tourism objectives, and creating an environment that facilitates the process of building tourism development, which are considered strategic steps that serve the economic development of the state and even the thorough development in general. This is what this research paper targets to clarify through studying the political dimensions of tourism as an basic entrance for building sustainable tourism development.
