These vessels are particularly suited to the region's turbulent waters. However, the advent of motorized boats and trawlers has transformed local fishing practices, enabling fishermen to venture further offshore and significantly boost their catch. The fishermen utilize a variety of nets, including gill nets, trawl nets, and seine nets, tailored to the specific fish species and fishing locales.
