Abstract

This article explores the ethical dimensions of laboratory testing from the viewpoint of lab technicians. Key ethical considerations such as patient confidentiality, informed consent, accuracy of results, avoidance of bias and discrimination, responsible resource utilization, and continuous professional development are examined. Lab technicians play a critical role in upholding ethical standards throughout the testing process, ensuring the integrity of results and maintaining patient trust. By adhering to ethical principles and engaging in ongoing education, technicians contribute to the advancement of ethical laboratory practice.
