Abstract

This paper explores the critical roles of respiratory therapists and nurses in delivering patient-centered care for individuals with chronic respiratory diseases. Chronic respiratory conditions, such as asthma, COPD, and cystic fibrosis, present complex challenges requiring comprehensive management strategies. Respiratory therapists contribute to the assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and patient education, while nurses offer holistic assessments, medication administration, symptom management, emotional support, and care coordination. Together, they form a multidisciplinary team dedicated to optimizing patient outcomes and enhancing quality of life.
