Abstract

Nursing science, despite its widespread use in literature, lacks a clear and universally accepted definition. This paper investigates the reasons behind this ambiguity, exploring the various perspectives on nursing and science itself. It examines the impact of philosophical underpinnings and the existence of multiple schools of thought within nursing. The paper argues for a definition that encompasses the entirety of nursing knowledge, acknowledging the contributions of both the totality and simultaneity paradigms.
