Abstract

Technology and nursing informatics have completely changed the way healthcare is delivered, giving nurses access to a wealth of resources and technologies that may be used to improve patient outcomes and care. Examining important applications such electronic health records (EHR), clinical decision support systems (CDSS), telemedicine, and wearable health technology, this study investigates the nexus between nursing informatics and technology. Nursing informatics enables nurses to improve communication and collaboration with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, expedite documentation processes, and use data analytics for evidence- based practice. It does this by integrating information technology, data management, and nursing science. In today's quickly changing healthcare environment, nurses can provide safer, more effective, and patient-centered care by utilizing technology.
