Abstract

This article explores the convergence of responsibilities between dental assistants and nurses in the provision of holistic patient care. Despite operating in distinct healthcare domains, these professionals share common ground in areas such as patient assessment, infection control, comfort provision, and emergency response. By examining the parallels in their roles, this study advocates for enhanced collaboration and synergy between dental and medical teams. Through mutual respect, effective communication, and shared expertise, dental assistants and nurses can collectively address patients' diverse needs, thereby optimizing healthcare outcomes and promoting overall well-being.
