Abstract
Our study centres on Almora, a small Uttarakhand town. This study shows the dedication of a great athlete who is determined to succeed. From age 14, Ekta wanted to play for the national women's cricket team. Her sports teacher recognised her physical ability since elementary school in various sports, but cricket was her passion. She started playing cricket locally with the district team in 2001 and flourished in college. Her rapid rise included winning the 2003–04 title as best all-rounder and five inter-university appearances. After BCCI took over women's cricket in 2006, Ekta joined the senior female team and the under-19 women's team in 2004. College was Ekta's breakthrough, as she played her first district cricket match in 2001. She immediately improved, earning five inter-university appearances and winning the 2003–04 best all-rounder title. Ekta joined the under-19 women's team in 2004 before to BCCI's entry into women's cricket. In 2006, Ekta became a part of the BCCI women's senior cricket team. She led the senior women's Uttar Pradesh team in 2011 and 2012 thanks to her leadership qualities. In 2022-23, Ekta was the best wicket-taker, ranking third in the top 10. Due to her outstanding accomplishment, Royal Challenger Bangalore (RCB) placed her in the Women's Premier League 2023 auction with a bid of 60 lakh rupees. Ekta Bisht shows young people that perseverance and hard work can pay off, which motivates them to excel in their chosen fields. So far, Ekta has participated in a single Test match, where she managed to secure 3 wickets. In addition, she has competed in 63 ODIs, accumulating a total of 98 wickets. Furthermore, she has taken part in 42 T20 matches, achieving 53 wickets.
