Abstract

This research paper seeks to investigate the challenges and shortcomings in the execution of child rights protection policies in the Indian state of Assam. Despite the presence of robust legal frameworks and policies aimed at safeguarding children's rights, the translation of these policies into effective practice often encounters significant obstacles. The study aims to explore the reasons behind the gap between policy formulation and successful implementation, focusing on Assam as a specific case. The research involves a comprehensive review of existing child rights policies, an examination of their implementation at the grassroots level, and the formulation of recommendations to bridge the identified gaps.
