Abstract
The greatest personnel seeks out companies that represent their inner beliefs and offer opportunity for personal growth and community involvement rather than merely higher wages in today's fiercely competitive environment. Corporations and their leaders have begun to recognize the importance of the workplace in promoting spiritual growth. It has become a booming business to get into the human soul at work. Spirituality is beginning to be recognized as being important in the overall development of a leader since spiritually anchored leadership can add value to the organization by helping workers and executives to align personal and organizational values around their understanding of spirituality. Spirituality is crucial for laying the foundation of emotional intelligence from which certain skills, capacities, and competencies arise. Zohar and Marshall (2004) claimed that Spiritual Quotient (SQ) is our ultimate intelligence and is the necessary foundation for the effective functioning of Intelligent Quotient (IQ) and Emotional Intelligent (EI). It cultivated to produce increased organizational performance. This study explored the relationship between spiritual and emotional intelligence and how they influence performance towards executives in BHEL is a heavy electrical industry in Trichirapalli. 100 sample respondents have selected from various levels of executives in BHEL, Tiruchirapalli of Tamil Nadu. Data collected through using well-structured interview questionnaire. The collected data analysed through SPSS-17 measured the spiritual and emotional intelligence and performance in BHEL. The results of this study indicate that emotional intelligence in employees affect the increase or decrease in performance of executives of BHEL. The spiritual intelligence was significantly influenced on executives performance.
