Abstract

Future education will face the problem of optimizing the use of technology to assure the availability of exceptional human resources. To study the existence of metaverse in the world of education to predict its early implementation in the education system of Indonesia, particularly in response to future issues, utilizing a critical analysis technique using data collecting via library research. The Metaverse is a vast virtual environment that mirrors the actual world, in which people interact via digital avatars. The benefits and drawbacks of the Metaverse may be exploited as alternate factors in the construction of an education development plan for Indonesia. In the metaverse period, education is no longer constrained by time and geography; every educational institution will compete internationally, and the victor will be determined by the quality of education provided.
